The Challenge

Complete 31 miles throughout January – that's just one mile a day! Whether you prefer to run, walk, or cycle, you can do it your way and at your own pace. Split it up however you like – a mile at lunchtime, a longer weekend session, or a daily morning routine. There's no right or wrong way to do it.

Track your miles, share your progress on social media, and know that every step, stride, and pedal helps fund life-saving CyberKnife cancer treatment for patients who need it most.

Why Your Challenge Matters

Cancer doesn't take a break, and neither do we. Every mile you complete helps patients access pioneering, non-invasive cancer treatment at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Since 2011, The Stan Bowley Trust has supported over 4,500 patients, funding CyberKnife treatment that offers hope when it's needed most. This cutting-edge radiotherapy is precise, painless, and often completed in just a few sessions – but it comes at a cost.

Your Jumpstart January challenge could help fund treatment for patients who have nowhere else to turn. Whether you raise £50 or £500, every penny goes directly toward helping people fight cancer with the best possible care.

Who Can Take Part?

Everyone! Jumpstart January is open to all ages and fitness levels. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting your fitness journey, this challenge is designed to be achievable for everyone.

Go solo, get the family involved, or rally your colleagues for a team challenge. You can even sign up your workplace and get everyone moving together.
